ON THE ROAD AGAIN….

Happy August!

It’s me Aroma Girl and I’m here with a report – a video report from Kansas City. While there I had some delicious BBQ from Gates, and trained our local sales group, Heritage Lane while working in one of their 3 showrooms. Check out the video below! I had the privilege of interviewing Holly the Principal, who is so sweet and we love giving you an up close look at some of our products. The show is very regional and had it’s share of busy moments.

The Tradeshow bus is still moving. This month I will be in San Francisco and NY. Stay posted – as Ann Macy, the Principal of Ann Macy & Assoc. will be in her SF showroom. I’m sure you will enjoy her just as much. We are blessed to have such amazing folks working with us across this fabulous country. Stay tuned and I’ll keep the video rolling for you.

TRADESHOW SEASON IS UPON US!!

Hi – aroma girl here reporting from the Atlanta and Los Angeles tradeshows!

I am so excited to announce and launch our new collection Natural Luxuries which is priced so well that our new and old customers are going crazy for them. The scents are fabulous and with 4 new ones, we are definitely getting noticed! Pomegranate, Blood Orange, Verbena and Tuberose are turning heads for sure.

Atlanta had a weird flow to traffic, but it was great to pick up some new accounts like Hospital Gift Shops, day spas and boutiques. In LA, the 2nd floor Mart temporaries had great traffic with serious buyers. We are excited to inform all of our new and old Southern CA retailers, day spas and resorts that our new showroom Sue Tabor & Assoc. is going to do a fabulous job! We are bringing in the new all across the board and are really excited about showing at NYIGF!

*** Freshness, natural oils and price points… oh, my! To make it in this market these days we have got to listen to our reps and our retailers alike and we feel we have done it in Xela style!

Xela wows them at Career Day

Our fearless leader, Maryann was the guest speaker this month at the Hockaday Middle School Career Day in Dallas.  Her topic covered “How to Start a Business.”  She wowed the 7th and 8th graders with her riveting and informative presentation.  After listening to Maryann’s presentation, the girls had the opportunity to design their own packaging and brand ideas and present them to the class.  And on their way out the door – each girl received a Stick Scents reed diffuser as a gift from Xela. 

CAMEX show – Anaheim, CA

We just got back from Disneyland! Okay, we really got back from CAMEX that was in Anaheim, CA just a short walk to the front door of Mickey and friends! The show was new for Xela and educated us quickly on the inner workings of college bookstores. The buyers were friendly and our neighbors/exhibitors were gracious with teaching us the ways of the college world. No job is too big for us to handle and the A&M buyers were on hand to show us that the UT bookstore had nothing on them! The Texas rival was definitely in full force. Our Operations Guru, Suzie is a proud Aggie Mom and had a ball with their team of buyers. We saw UCLA, University of Oregon Univ. of Washington and many, many more… It was a fun show with plenty of follow up to do and looking forward to next years adventure in Orlando, FL. We hope to work with all kinds of college logos in the near future and now that show season is officially over – yours truly, the Aroma Girl is looking for some much needed rest and getting back to a regular schedule!
